Started in 1981, the Pottle Works provides services to adults and students leaving school who have disabilities. Most people being served have some kind of developmental disability, such as mental retardation.
VOCATIONAL SERVICES
Vocational services are provided through work experiences in the community.
The expected outcomes of these services is for individuals served to reduce their dependency on governmental systems and others, and become more productive citizens integrated into their communities in accordance with their wishes.

These services take place in the context of a variety of work experiences such as:
| Placement and support in companies in the Oxford Hills, Mechanic Falls, and the Lewiston-Auburn area |
| Manufacturing crews that work in an industrial setting performing the work of that industry and are supervised by our staff |
| Mobile work crews that perform commercial janitorial services, grounds keeping, and/or firewood processing |
DAY HABILITATION SERVICES
Participants will plan a monthly calendar of events from a variety of choices being offered. Each participant will have a unique calendar of events that fits their needs and interest!

| Physical development / physical exercise - Join in walking, swimming, bike rides, Thai Chi, pilates, volleyball, aerobics and more... |
| Photography Club - Learn the basics of taking pictures and plan trips for photo opportunities |
| Scrapbooking Club - Develop your creativity with Scrap booking. Use photos taken from our club or bring your own. |
| Cooking Club - Participants choose a meal they would like to make. Plan the menu, do the shopping, cook the meal and enjoy with friends |
| Craft Club - Make crafts and learn woodworking. Sell it at our annual craft fair, give it as a gift or keep it for yourself |
